Author: GA Telesis
January 29, 2026 – Wilmington, OH – GA Telesis Engine Services, GATES USA SPAH, a joint venture between GA Telesis and Air Transport Services Group, Inc., located in Wilmington, OH. The company is introducing third-party return and recertification, borescope, and preservation services for LEAP 1A and 1B Engines. In addition, SPAH will now begin offering Reverse Bleed System (“RBS”) modification services as a result of this capability increase. This milestone greatly enables GATES USA SPAH to directly address the ever-increasing needs of LEAP airline and leasing customers in the Americas region.
With over 7,000+ LEAP engines in service across approximately 3,500 aircraft, operators and lessors are increasingly demanding flexible, reliable options to support their expanding fleets. This addition of capabilities gives GA Telesis’ customers more options to streamline their operations and plan for anticipated return-to-service and modification needs.
“GA Telesis Engine Services USA SPAH continues to drive diversification aimed at easing capacity constraints for LEAP operators across the Americas,” said Jason Reed, President of GATES USA SPAH. “From return to service requirements to complex modifications, our GE Aerospace-trained team now has the expertise to support RBS SB integration either planeside or at our Wilmington, Ohio, facility,” Reed added.
GATES USA SPAH can quickly process lease returns, including BSI, GVI, Zero Letter checks, and preservation for LEAP 1A and 1B Engines in 24-48 hours. This capability expansion allows GA Telesis to support the newest narrowbody aircraft fleet, including the Boeing MAX and Airbus NEO series, while meeting growing global demand for modern engine support solutions.
