GA Telesis Engine Services Announces Sales Leadership Appointments

May 19, 2026 – Helsinki, Finland – GA Telesis Engine Services (“GATES”) announced the appointment of Johann O. Karason as Sales Director Americas, effective May 18, 2026, alongside the expanded role of Rishi Maharaj as Sales Director overseeing customer relationships and business development across Europe and the Americas.

Based in Phoenix, Arizona, Johann will relocate to Boston later this summer and will lead sales activities across North, Central, and South America. He brings more than 20 years of global aviation and aerospace experience spanning airline operations, commercial strategy, fleet and asset management, and MRO services across the United States, Europe, and Africa.

Throughout his career, Johann has led aircraft and engine transactions, developed fleet strategies for airlines and lessors, and structured complex commercial agreements. He holds an Executive MBA from the University of Arizona, a degree in Business Administration from the University of Iceland, and is a certified private pilot.

Effective May 1, 2026, Rishi Maharaj assumed the role of Sales Director based at GA Telesis Engine Services’ Helsinki office, where he will work closely with regional sales teams to drive growth and strengthen customer engagement across both markets.

Rishi previously served as Sales Director for MRO Services in EMEA, leading sales across component, composite, and landing gear services. Prior to joining GA Telesis in 2022, he held roles with Boeing Distribution Services and previously supported global customers, including AirAsia and UPS.
